On Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, Amouage has entrusted Héroïne with Héroïne its first flagship store on the U.S. West Coast. The challenge: to bring Omani cultural identity to one of the world’s most iconic shopping streets.

THE CHALLENGE

To convey the identity of an Omani luxury perfume house in one of the world’s most iconic luxury markets.

Create a space that brings together cultural heritage, desirability, and retail performance.

The opening of a flagship store on Rodeo Drive marked a strategic milestone in Amouage’s expansion in the United States. The challenge was not merely to open a new retail location. It was to design a destination capable of embodying the House’s universe, reinforcing its distinctiveness in the niche fragrance market, and creating an emotional connection with an international clientele seeking more immersive experiences. In one of the world’s most competitive retail environments, the project was designed to allow Amouage to remain deeply rooted in its Omani heritage while resonating with the cultural and creative energy of Los Angeles.

the concept

Crossing the Wadi

The concept is based on the encounter between two regions separated by thousands of kilometers but united by the same evocative power: the wadis of Oman and the canyons of the American Southwest.

Every element of the project reflects this dialogue. The reddish-earth tones, mineral textures, interplay of light, and geometric shapes echo Omani landscapes while engaging in a conversation with the architecture and imagination of Los Angeles. The journey is designed as a progression toward the light. After passing through an environment inspired by the Wadi Shab Gorge, visitors discover a monumental luminous sphere that serves as the focal point of the experience. More than just a perfume boutique, this flagship store was conceived as a tool for brand expression—one capable of transforming cultural heritage into an immersive experience—while affirming Amouage’s place among the major players in the world of international fine perfumery.
